The International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) is pleased to announce the availability of travel and registration fee support to attend the Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) 2025 / ICARP IV Summit (20 - 28 March 2025, Boulder, Colorado, USA).
Eligible to apply are:
- Early career researchers up to 5 years past their final degree (e.g. PhD) with an Arctic research focus (an allowance will be made for career breaks such as parental leave); and
- Arctic Indigenous Scholars and Knowledge Holders
Applicants can apply for IASC support to cover their:
- Travel costs from their home to and from Boulder
- Accommodation costs in Boulder (maximum 130 Euros per night)
- Registration Fee
- Per diem, 50 Euro/day (minus provided meals)
Online participants can also apply for a registration fee waiver.
Preference will be given to applicants who have an active role as presenters, panelists, (co-)organisers, committee members of any meeting, workshop, or session as well as rapporteurs / volunteers during the ASSW 2025 and the ICARP IV Summit and who are located in / affiliated with an institution in an IASC member country.
The application deadline was on 29 November 2024 at 23:59 GMT (Icelandic time) and we received a large number of applications. However, we are re-opening the application form temporarily until 10 December at 23:59 GMT (Icelandic time) for additional late applicants who want to be added to the waitlist for funding.
Successful recipients will be informed before the end of December 2024.
Those who are not selected for funding will remain on a waiting list for funding and will be informed if funding opens up.
