Event Description:
ASSW Science day will be held at “Our Dynamic Earth” on Tuesday 26th March 2024.
The day’s theme of “Arctic Coasts” encompasses all IASC Working Group areas. There will be a mixture of invited talks on the day’s theme from each of the IASC Working Groups, a panel discussion on widening inclusion of research in the Coastal Arctic, the IASC Medal Winner presentation and lecture, and a public facing keynote presentation by the US Arctic Envoy on “The Coastal Arctic”.
“Our Dynamic Earth” is a public facing science centre focussed on the natural history of planet Earth. Alongside the events in the main auditorium listed above, there will be public displays related to scientific community research activities in the Arctic.
We invite ASSW participants to get in touch with the local organising committee about bringing their displays to this space.
