Event Description:
The U.S. Arctic Research Plan 2022-2026 calls for research aimed at improving community resilience and well-being, advancing scientific understanding of ongoing changes in the Arctic system, creating more sustainable economies and livelihoods, and improving risk management and hazard mitigation. It also advances areas foundational to Arctic research including participatory research and Indigenous leadership in research. This session will provide an update on the accomplishments thus far of the Arctic Research Plan, highlighting new data and reports, the development of partnerships, and other achievements. There will also be opportunities for participants to provide feedback on the implementation of the Arctic Research Plan and suggestions for areas of focus over the next two years.
