Session Description:
Ny-Ålesund Science Managers Committee (NySMAC) promotes cooperation and coordination between actors engaged in research and environmental monitoring taking place in Ny-Ålesund in Svalbard, Norway, and contributes to the development of Ny-Ålesund Research Station as an outstanding site for Arctic research and monitoring. NySMAC consists of representatives from all parties with major vested interests in Ny-Ålesund and was established already in 1994.
