Open and Closed Sessions- HYBRID
Room: Mødelokale 1.1
Organiser: Claudine Hauri (USA)
Session Description:
This workshop will continue the process of revising the Marine Working Group (MWG) Strategic Plan to ensure that Indigenous Knowledge, co-production, and equitable engagement are embedded as core principles. Held as a special workshop at ASSW, the first part of the workshop will be open and hybrid, welcoming all participants who wish to contribute to building a more equitable and forward-looking strategy for Arctic marine research. The open workshop will be followed by a closed session, reserved for marine working group members, to deliberate on how to integrate the proposed changes into the implementation chapter of the MWG strategic plan. Together, we will explore how co-production can strengthen both intellectual merit and societal relevance, ensuring that the MWG’s future research priorities reflect diverse ways of knowing and the needs of Arctic communities.
