Session Description:
This master class is designed to equip early-career polar scientists with the necessary skills and strategies to translate their science into meaningful action, drive changes, and encourage international collaboration among stakeholders.
Objectives are to :
- Enhance participants’ skills in communicating complex scientific concepts to non-scientific audiences,
- Provide insights into stakeholder engagement and science-policy interactions,
- Develop practical science communication strategies tailored to different stakeholders.
This two-hour masterclass will focus on expert insights and interactive exercises. It will begin with a discussion where speakers share their experiences in science communication and stakeholder engagement. Following this, participants will engage in an interactive exercise, guided by experts, where they will highlight topics they want to communicate and identify their target stakeholders. Experts will work with participants to refine their messaging and develop effective communication strategies.
The session is only open for IASC Fellows.
