Session description:
Our session will aim at a widely-used Arctic planning tool - the International Arctic Observing Assessment Framework - developed to improve environmental data in the region through the lens of societal benefits like disaster preparedness and food security. While it outlines more than 160 societally-relevant key objectives, it has identified shortcomings, which would benefit from broader community review and discussion.
