Session Description:
The ASSW 2026 Science Day opens in the Lake Auditoriums with words of welcome from Aarhus University and the ASSW hosts, followed by a plenary keynote on why sustained Arctic observations and monitoring are essential for understanding rapid environmental and societal change. The plenary will set the stage for the day’s thematic sessions and highlight the importance of coordinated observing systems and community-based monitoring across the Arctic.
