Scotland is a place of epic natural landscapes, engaging cities and rich cultural heritage, and a short summary here would not do it justice. Start your adventure in Edinburgh and discover its hidden gems to create memories with friends and family.
Some of our favourite recommendations are:
Enjoy the city view from the top of Arthurs Seat. This is the ancient volcano running just behind the conference venue. It is a lovely 20-30 min walk up it and the views are spectacular. For a more energetic tour of Arthur’s Seat, the 5k Holyrood Parkrun starts at 09:30 on Saturdays
Hop on the open top bus tours. These are a great way to see a lot of the city and hear about the history in just under an hour.
Edinburgh has several underground vaults. Access to these is typically through the history and ghost tours, and are worth it to see a very different side to the city not accessible normally. These walking tours also run late into the night as well, so can be joined in the evenings after the conference.
Edinburgh Castle dominates the skyline and is a very impressive venue to visit, even if it is just the terrace in front of it.
The National Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street has something for everyone and free entry.
